A 140-cm-long necklace celebrates 140 years since Modì’s birth

Una collana lunga 140 cm celebra i 140 anni dalla nascita di Modì

“Every representation is already in the beginning a scheme; indeed in a certain sense it can only be a simplification, in the sense of a reduction. In the sense of a distance that exists between the richness of the complex phenomènic of the real, its infinite sensory enjoyment, its infinite depth of interpretation, in short between the world and the single selection made according to some form of criterion or point of view.”

These words of designer Giovanni Anceschi carry the key to the design of the necklace created by .bijouets, an extraordinary tribute to Modì’s artistic legacy. Created on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the Italian artist’s birth, the necklace is 140 cm long, composed of 32 rings inspired by his most iconic portraits including those of Jeanne Hébuterne, the artist’s wife and muse.

This special piece of jewelry came to life during a mesmerizing performance performed by dancer Jacqueline Bulnés, combining movement and art in a visual embrace that celebrates lightness, elegance and artistic innovation.
